Dr. William Edward Mason is a periodontist practicing in Bay City, Michigan. A lifelong resident of the area, he has dedicated his career to helping patients restore and maintain their oral health through advanced periodontal care and dental implant therapy.
He earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Michigan School of Dentistry in 1981 and completed a Master of Science in Periodontics in 1984. In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Mason serves as adjunct faculty at the University of Michigan’s Graduate Periodontics Clinic, where he mentors residents in treatment planning and surgical techniques. He is known for his approachable and supportive teaching style, built on more than four decades of hands-on experience.
His professional interests include treating gum disease, performing bone and soft tissue regeneration, and placing dental implants. Dr. Mason’s philosophy centers on combining advanced techniques with compassion, education, and respect for each patient’s needs.
